I take the time to recognise the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which I live, work and walk, on Kabi Kabi / Gubbi Gubbi country. I recognise that these lands and waters have always been places for connection, for healing, for teaching and learning, for homecoming and dreaming. For millennia, the Kabi Kabi / Gubbi Gubbi People have cared for Country and maintain their deep spiritual, physical, familial and economic connections to these lands and waters. I pay my sincere respect to their Elders; past, present and emerging. I remain committed to justice, promote understanding and walking respectfully alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Before we continue our journey today, let’s take a moment to honour the millions of footprints that have travelled these dreaming paths.
